  22. Back in April 2006 Jeff Altman mentioned the issue with later versions
  23. of ssh servers and
  24. compression. I thought I'd seen another reference, but Google search
  25. produced nothing.
  26. Just to add to the bank of knowledge we are in the process of migrating
  27. our server package from SuSE 8.1 to SuSE 10.2.
  28. SSH connections with old kermit scripts to the 10.2 server yield
  29. following:
  30. no matching comp found: client zlib server none,zlib@openssh.com
  31. login failed
  32. ?Unable to connect to 192.168.1.7
  33.  
  34. Adding the following line results in usable connection:
  35. set ssh compression off
  36.  
  37. I hope this is useful to others and perhaps will help with reasons for
  38. a next version of K95
